Tiles provide protection from oil, grime, and moisture, while adding an attractive element to a kitchen backsplash or floor. They are also commonly used on the bathroom floor, walls, and shower to prevent moisture from the tub or shower from seeping into the walls. Wherever you lay tile, grout is used to strengthen the structure and stop the tiles from moving or cracking. Grout lines also help to block out excess moisture, dirt, oils, and grime, and can add an aesthetic element as well.
